Your life story: LUV manga/anime (especially the yaoi kind). David Bowie and Japanese culture pretty go hand in hand: they both celebrate artifice. (And Bowie in his youth was a walking manga character.:) I'm also a media junkie. I spend too much time on the internet. Taking away my TV and my VCR (*especially* my VCR) would be like cutting off a limb. My video tape collection is frightful. :) My musical tastes is for rock and techno and what falls in between, with a sprinkling of modern jazz, classical, and funk. My favorite musician is DJ Shadow. Does that mean I don't love my Bowie? Hell, no. David isn't a musician-- he's a *pop idol*. (There *is* a difference.:) It isn't just about music with him--it's like he's a self-contained multimedia explosion. I could stare at all those frocks alone. :) And it's like he's running on fusion power--is there any end in sight for David Bowie's Ideas? My God, look at his new transformation! That *hair*! I shall never again think that Bowie's reached his end stylistically.
