Bowie was interviewed by Per Sinding Larsen, talking about his upcoming appearance at the Lollipop Festival. In addition to his discussion of no more "No old hits" policy and talk of 2. Contamination, he also was asked about Eno's appearance at the Birthday Bash. Bowie said that since Eno hardly makes stage appearances, he didn't even bother to invite him. Bowie and band appeared on BBC Top Of The Pops. They performed Dead Man Walking with Bowie wearing his Union Jack coat, leather pants and collarless shirt. Information from Steve Lowe.

David appeared on the Jack Docherty Show in the UK. He performed both Dead Man Walking (acoustic) and Scary Monsters (rock).

ABC In Concert showed a clip of interviews with the "special guests" at the 50th Birthday Bash, plus the full performance of I'm Afraid Of Americans from the show.

TV April 10, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, NBC, USA new Link
David appeared on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show on NBC. He performed an acoustic version of Dead Man Walking with Reeves Gabrels on accompanying guitar, and then at the end of the show performed I'm Afraid Of Americans with the full band. In between, he had an interview with Conan.

The video of David's 50th birthday benefit concert was first televised on pay-per-view on March 8 at 9 p.m. Entitled "David Bowie and Friends - A Very Special Birthday Concert", the broadcast lasted 2 hours and 17 minutes with all profits going to Save The Children.

TV March 3, Rosie O'Donnell Show, ABC, USA new Link
David made an appearance on the Rosie O'Donnell talk show. He sang acoustically China Girl but changed the words to "Rosie Girl", while bass-player Gail-Ann Dorsey filmed it with a handheld camcorder. Iman came out and joined them, and then Bowie performed Seven Years In Tibet with the whole band. In an interview in Guitar Player, it was noted that the band also performed Dead Man Walking and Scary Monsters, but these were not broadcast and were saved for later in the season.

Bowie was the special guest on the Canal Plus channel program "Nulle Part Ailleurs". Bowie performed Telling Lies and Little Wonder, and had a long interview. He also performed Scary Monsters, but this was not broadcast.

CNN's Showbiz Today and various other entertainment type programs had television reports on Bowie's receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
